One bleak November morning we realized... HEY, we're always creating elaborate letters, and then sending them away never to be seen by us again!
So if anything, this blog is an attempt to remember the good times we spent drawing luna moths and sand cranes.
WELL what if in the process we motivated others to focus on slow communication, that was thoughtful and imaginative?
WHAT if we could share our ideas with all of our family and friends?
We send a lot of mail, and most of our letters have been carefully constructed.
Envelope appearance seems to be as important as the letters themselves.
We have boxes and boxes full of letters received in return. Now it's time to archive, celebrate Canada Post, and this obsession!
yea, cool, I was thinking about that the other day cause I don't journal nearly as much as I used to cause I write so many letters. And I guess the only real draw back to that is you can't go back and uncover them, see how you've evolved and progressed cause the words are in the care of someone else. Not anymore...
ReplyDeleteWonderful idea, need to be deeper, slower not broader, shallower.
ReplyDeletei mean everyone is too shallow too broad. I agree your blog has depth. I adds real feeling real colour and emotion. its genuine.
ReplyDeleteTotally the new fad. Like where has society been the last 10 years or maybe 100. I think this is going to revolutionalize Canada Post and perhaps retrigger people to start letter writing more vigourously. There is hope in letter writing for the generation to come. CREATIVE THINKING ANALYSIS SEEN IN PLAY OF FUTURE EDUCATORS!
ReplyDeleteCool BLog, I would like some mail decorated with pickled eggs. I would also like you to blog about how they taste better when an old lady who smokes a lot of cigarettes picks the eggs out of the jar with her fingers.
